Brian Hurlburt first joined Watkins in 2002 and stayed just a year, the first time. Then in Sept 2009 when His neighbours needed some gluten Free Products, Brian decided to get his Watkins Products Consultant Membership again. Funny thing is, Brian did not plan to do Watkins as a Business! He says he remembers telling his Sponsor, “I have tried 6 or 7 of these things and I know they don’t work! I just want my membership so I can get a discount on my own products and so that I can get my neighbours some gluten free stuff when they need it.”
“However”, says Brian, “When I saw the excitement my Watkins Products Catalog produced at the Changing Tides Diner in Bear River, Nova Scotia, I knew I had to take a closer look!” Take a closer look He did, and in rural Nova Scotia, Canada, Brian did about $1,500.00 in Sales each of his first two months with Watkins. Then in 2010 Brian grew a Sales Team of about 25 Watkins Products Sales Consultants and did about $32,000.00 in Sales. In 2011 He continued his success earning Watkins New Manager of the Year Award, followed by the 1st Place Manager Award, and as a result Brian was asked to speak on stage in Los Vegas.
Brian conitinued to grow His Watkins Products Business to where it consistently takes 20-30% of Watkins Annual Awards and Annual Trips Earners. Impressive considering His Team only consists of only about 2-3% of the total number of Watkins Products Consultants. Brian’s continued success and the ability to train and motivate His Team has lead Him to become one of Watkins top business Leaders and in May 2017 Brian Hurlburt earned the distinction of becoming one of about 20 J.R. Watkins Independent Executives.
Perhaps more impressive is Brian’s humble attitude, when asked what led to his success he is quick to point to His Team, Brian says, “I have been blessed, we have an incredible Team. Not bad for this little Kid from Nova Scotia!”
When asked what Brian’s plans are for the future, He replied, “To continue to help our Team Members, its so rewarding to see them growing successful Businesses, earning rewards, and travelling on luxury vacations!” Brian and a number of His Team Members just returned from Watkins Annual Luxury Reward Trip to Los Cabos San Lucas. Brian says that counting Spouses there were about 35 or so on the Trip and about 15 or 16 of them were His Team Members.
When asked what Brian’s biggest challenge is, He replied, “Well, getting Customers has never been a problem! Often people want the Products and don’t know where to get it! I tell people that over the years I’ve sold everything from vacuums to insurance and this is the first time my customers run toward me!” When pressed, Brian says, “You know our biggest challenge is finding new Sales Consultants to help care for our Customers, and further expand our Customer Base.”
